‘I’m not playing’ – Marcus Rashford left disappointed by FC 26 video game rating

Marcus Rashford has discovered his player rating for FC 26, and joked about boycotting the popular video game in response.
The winger returns to the popular video game this season, this time on loan at Barcelona from Manchester United.
With his electric pace and eye for goal, Rashford could become one of the most sought-after players in the Ultimate Team game mode.
However, whilst he remains a go-to option on the wing for England, his rating for FC 26 [formerly FIFA] has decreased from last season.
Rashford's card for the new game, which releases on September 26, has dropped from 81 to 80, much to his laughter and dismay.
When on England duty during the international break, he was asked to predict his rating and said: "Err, 83 or 82?"
However, he cut a disappointed figure once he removed the sticker, and his international teammate Declan Rice shouted: "What?!"
Rashford had already seen his attribute scores of 87 pace, 82 shooting, 77 passing, 80 dribbling, 33 defending and 63 physical.
"I'm not happy with my whole card anyway, so I knew that it'd be low," he said, albeit with a grin on his face.
"If you had a message to EA, what would you say to them? Rashford was asked, and he cheekily replied: "I don't want to talk to them."
Rice has been given a rating of 87, whilst his Arsenal teammate Noni Madueke joins Rashford on 80.
"I'm not going to play with my character, I'm not," the Barcelona loan star humorously insisted.
"Nah, I'm making a stand. Yeah, I'm not playing with it!"
For the 2025/26 season, Rashford will play for LaLiga champions Barcelona after deciding to temporarily leave boyhood club United.
talkSPORT understands Barca have the option to sign the 27-year-old on a permanent deal next summer though.
Rashford has already made three appearances for the Spanish giants in their unbeaten LaLiga campaign, all of which came off the bench.
Last season, Rashford scored seven goals and assisted three others in 24 matches for United.
However, even though he scored the first goal of head coach Ruben Amorim's tenure, he was dropped from the matchday squad.
The winger's last United appearance of the campaign came in their 2-1 Europa League away win at FC Viktoria Plzen in December.
Rashford spent the rest of the season on loan at Aston Villa, where he netted four goals and assisted a further six.
His final season tally hit 11 goals and nine assists, which is more than the respective eight and six he reached in the previous campaign.
However, despite Rashford improving, the same can't be said for his EAFC rating.
Rashford played in both of England's 2026 World Cup qualifying wins against Andorra and Serbia during the international break.
He netted their fifth against the latter on Tuesday night from the penalty spot to increase his Three Lions goal tally to 18 in 64 caps.
