Dana White has confirmed that Jon Jones' chances of headlining the UFC White House card are close to none.

White has confirmed that he will be holding a UFC event at the White House on July 4, 2026, as US president Donald Trump announced it would form part of the 250th celebrations of American Independence.

Trump's plans for the promotion were revealed a few weeks after Jones bid the sport goodbye in June.

As a result of this, Jones made the move to reverse his retirement and re-entered the drug testing pool in the hopes of appearing on the card.

Despite that, White recently came out to say that he trusts Conor McGregor more than Jones to be a part of and potentially headline the event.

And he doubled down insisting Jones has little hope of featuring at all.

He said: “Let me ask you, what do you think Jon would do in the next couple of months that would make me trust putting him on the White House card?

“So I already said that I don’t trust him, and you’re asking me what could he do for me to trust him in the next three months? You don’t trust him!

"I don’t talk to him either. I haven’t talked to him at all. If I had to make odds, it’s a billion-to-one that I put Jon Jones on the White House card.”

Jones had regularly shut down the chances of fighting again against Tom Aspinall, shunning talks and vacating the belt.

Which explains why he stands so firmly in his stance that he can't trust the 38-year-old.

Meanwhile, Conor McGregor has also re-entered the testing pool with his sights firmly set on making the lineup.

His chances appear to be a lot higher, according to White.

The last time the Irishman fought, he was facing Dustin Poirier for a second time and he left the ring with a broken leg.

He was set for a comeback bout against Michael Chandler last year but pulled out due to a broken toe, as a result he hasn't fought in four years.

Although, White has previously said that we'll have to wait until 2026 for any formal confirmations of the line-up.

What do we know about the White House UFC event so far?

While no explicit details have been revealed yet, we know that it's definitely taking place on July 4.

It's also believed that the event will be held on the lawn of the White House.
