Ryan Garcia claims Errol Spence has split with long-time trainer Derrick James after his loss to Terence Crawford.

Spence was comprehensively outclassed by 'Bud' last year when they had it out for undisputed supremacy at welterweight.

After being battered from pillar to post by Crawford, Spence was eventually stopped on his feet in the ninth round as James watched on from his corner.

In the weeks following the defeat, rumours began to circulate online that Spence had axed James and was on the lookout for a new head coach.

'King Ry', who is preparing for his upcoming clash with Devin Haney under James' watch, claims this is the case.

“F*** Errol! Yeah, f*** Errol,” Garcia said on an X space yesterday.

“You ain't with Derrick James, you motherf****. You folded, you didn’t want to pay him some money.

"That’s f****d up. It’s all business, but still, at the end of the day, that’s some f****d s*** up.

"Hell, I pay him more on a fight I made less. Come on. He’s been with you your whole career. What the f*** is wrong with you?”

It's not exactly clear what Garcia is referring to and there is still yet to be any official announcement from Spence or James to confirm they have parted ways.

When asked about 'The Truth's' most recent outing against Crawford, Garcia stated that he looked 'high as f***', going into the fight and insisted he 'couldn’t even form a sentence'.

Spence was expected to run his fight back with Crawford this year after he activated the two-way rematch clause in their contract.

However, esteemed boxing journalist Dan Rafael reported in February that the fight is unlikely to take place due to a 'variety of reasons', including Spence enduring a lengthy stint on the sidelines after undergoing cataract surgery

Both Crawford and Spence are now campaigning for a fight against the newly crowned WBC and WBO super-welterweight champion, Sebastian Fundora.

But it looks as though neither man will be able to secure that bout anytime soon as a second fight between Fundora and Tim Tszyu is reportedly being targeted for November in Las Vegas.
