Meanwhile, Chelsea have been hit with 74 charges by the FA in relation to agents, intermediaries and third-party investments.
What a Coop
Former Nottingham Forest and Swansea City manager Steve Cooper has a new job after being sacked by Leicester City.
The Welshman has been appointed by Danish side Brondby.
Cooper was overlooked for several Championship jobs this summer, and he's decided to head to Europe.
In a statement, Brondby said: "45-year-old Steve Cooper is the new head coach of Brøndby IF on a contract running until the summer of 2028.
"The Welsh head coach, who takes over from Frederik Birk, comes to Vestegnen with a CV that includes clubs such as Nottingham Forest, Swansea City and most recently Leicester City.
"The experience from both the Premier League and the Championship is flanked by a five-year period as manager of several youth national teams, culminating in a World Cup title as head coach of the England U17 national team.
"Director of Football Benjamin Schmedes talks about the hiring of Steve Cooper:
"Steve is that rare combination of youth and experience, vision and personality. He is a man who can embrace a club like ours and lift both the individual player and the entire club to a new level," says Schmedes."
Cooper will be in charge for the weekend's game against Copenhagen.
Final straw
talkSPORT understands that the final straw that broke the camel's back, leading to Nuno Espirito Santo being sacked by Nottingham Forest happened during the 3-0 defeat to West Ham United.
However, it wasn't the result, and it was actually because he didn't bring Douglas Luiz off the bench.
Forest signed the Brazilian from Juventus during the transfer window, but he was only on the bench against the Hammers.
And after refusing to bring him on and introducing Omari Hutchinson for just a minute, Evangelos Marinakis made up his mind and decided Nuno had to go.
Nuno's relationship with Edu had collapsed over the summer window over signings, and that proved to be the final straw.
Tribute
After Nuno Espirito Santo's departure, the first Nottingham Forest player to pay tribute to the manager is Neco Williams.
The Welshman became a huge part of the Forest side that sealed their return to Europe last season.
Williams became the first-choice left-back and visibly improved as a player, and after Nuno's sacking, he's taken to Twitter.
He said: "Thank you, boss. You gave me the opportunity to grow and learn wearing the shirt.
"Had some amazing memories playing under you & wish you nothing but the best in the future!"
No thank you
talkSPORT understands that West Ham United rejected the chance to sign Andre Onana on loan.
The Cameroonian international is set to join Trabzonspor for the remainder of the season after Senne Lammens' arrival on deadline day.
The Belgian is expected to push Onana further down the pecking order at Old Trafford, where he lost his number one spot Altay Bayindir.
The Hammers were engaged in talks, but after watching him make two mistakes against Grimsby Town, David Sullivan pulled the deal.
Instead, the Irons are looking to bring Lukasz Fabianski back to the club.
Done
Just like that, Nottingham Forest have confirmed the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as their new manager.
The Australian has signed a two-year deal at the City Ground after Nuno Espirito Santo was relieved of his duties in the early hours of this morning.
And in a statement, the news was confirmed.
Forest said: "Nottingham Forest is delighted to confirm the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as the Club’s First Team Head Coach.
"Postecoglou has been in management for over 25 years, arriving on Trentside with experience of regularly competing and winning trophies at the highest level.
"After enjoying very successful seasons with Brisbane Roar and Yokohama F. Marinos, winning the League with both clubs, he was appointed manager of Celtic in June 2021. A successful tenure in Glasgow saw Postecoglou win the domestic double in his first season in Scotland and the treble in his second year, which earned
him a nomination for the FIFA World Coach of the Year in 2023."Moving to England to take over at Tottenham Hotspur, who finished fifth in his first season, Postecoglou guided Spurs to their first major trophy in 17 years, winning the Europa League in 2024/25 and qualifying for the Champions League."
Forest's owner Evangelos Marinakis also added his own words.
He said: “We are bringing a coach to the Club who has a proven and consistent record of winning trophies.
"His experience of coaching teams at the highest level, along with his desire to build something special with us at Forest, makes him a fantastic person to help us on our journey and achieve consistently all our ambitions.
“After gaining promotion to the Premier League, then building consistently season after season to secure European football, we now must take the right step to compete with the very best and challenge for trophies. Ange has the credentials and the track-record to do this, and we are excited he is joining us on our ambitious
journey."Double trouble
Chelsea have been dealt two injury blows with news on Liam Delap and Dario Essugo.
Delap limped off during the Blues' 2-0 win over Fulham with a hamstring injury, and he doesn't need surgery.
However, he is expected to be out for ten weeks, with the aim to have him back for the festive period.
Meanwhile, Essugo picked up a thigh injury on international duty and has immediately had surgery.
There is no timescale for his return.
'Saddened'
Nottingham Forest legend and talkSPORT pundit Stuart Pearce has been reacting to Nuno Espirito Santo's departure.
It was confirmed in the early hours of this morning that Evangelos Marinakis had parted ways with Nuno after the pair's relationship broke down.
In his place, Ange Postecoglou is set to sign a two-year deal at the City Ground.
The appointment could be confirmed as early as today.
And on Nuno's departure, Pearce said: "I'm a little bit saddened actually, I think that Forest lost a manager in Steve Cooper that the fans were disappointed to lose and I think the same will be said about Nuno as well.
"The club seems to have a lot of stability, a European campaign to look forward to this season, more than established in the Premier League.
"Maybe saying a couple of the things that he said before publicly, maybe the writing was on the wall, but I'm a little bit disappointed.
I think he did well for Forest and established a very good style of play that all the players bought into."The first thing that sprung to my mind was Ange’s style of play, which is probably counter to how Forest have been playing and the success that Forest have been playing with.
"Nuno has very much a counter attack style of play, defending deep which suits Milenkovic and one or two others.
"I think we saw against West Ham when they came out and chased the game, they became a little bit open and vulnerable.
"Ange plays a style of play that is more expansive, more open.
The style of play has got to change and is going to change, there is no doubt about that."How that suits the squad of players that have been used to playing in one style, that was a big thing for me.
"I enjoy Ange, I enjoy listening to him and in all honesty I enjoy getting in my car and going to cover games where he puts teams on the pitch."
Stuart Pearce reacts to Nuno Espirito Santo sacking and Ange Postecoglou replacing him at Nottingham ForestDropped
Myles Lewis-Skelly has been left out of England's matchday squad this evening for the game against Serbia.
The Arsenal full-back started the 2-0 win over Andorra at the weekend, but The Sun report he won't be playing any part in the match this evening.
This due to the fact only 23 players are allowed in the matchday squad.
Jarrel Quansah was the unfortunate one to miss out at the weekend, but with Marc Guehi struggling with a groin problem, it seems Quansah has got the nod over Lewis-Skelly.
In the building
Ange Postecoglou has been spotted arriving at Nottingham Forest's training ground ahead of signing a deal to become their new manager.
The ex-Tottenham Hotspur gaffer has agreed a two-year deal at the City Ground.
24 hours ago, Nuno Espirito Santo was still the Forest manager, and now here we are a day later, and Postecoglou is in Nottingham finalising his move.
Whatever you say about Evangelos Marinakis, he gets things done quickly.
Got to deliver

Ange Postecoglou ready to make sensational Premier League return weeks after Tottenham sack to Nottingham Forest'Stupid thing to do'
Simon Jordan has been reacting to Nottingham Forest sacking Nuno Espirito Santo.
The former Crystal Palace owner believes that Nuno got what was coming to him after his comments on the relationship with Evangelos Marinakis.
During the transfer window, the ex-Wolves manager went public with his relationship, and from there, things were tricky.
And Jordan thinks he got what he deserved.
Speaking on White and Jordan, he said: "When we addressed the subject ten days ago, when the manager decided to tell the world about his relationship with the owner - it was inevitable.
"I said to yo at the time, that's him gone, and so he has.
"I am not surprised, he's brought it upon himself. He's not a casualty.
"This is a manager who was prepared to say the things he said, and there was no reason or necessity for it.
"Telling the public and the media about your relationship with the owner is such a stupid thing to do. What do you expect to happen?
"He got what he asked for.
The clip of Nuno talking about his relationship with Marinakis was then played out on-air, and Jordan said: "It's absurd!"

Ange Postecoglou won't the be the only arrival at Nottingham Forest this week.
talkSPORT understands that Scott Munn is also set to get a role.
The Australian left Tottenham Hotspur in the summer after Postecoglou was sacked, having joined the just before Ange's arrival from Celtic.
Munn has a long history in football, having been in an executive role since 2009.
Return of the Fab
talkSPORT understands that West Ham are in talks with former goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski about returning to the club.
The 40-year-old was released by the Irons this summer after seven years in East London.
However, with Mads Hermansen struggling in the early stages of his West Ham career, a sensational return for Fabianski is on the cards.
The former Polish international was a key part of some successful West Ham sides, making 216 appearances for the Irons.
Preparations
Away from the carnage at Nottingham Forest, England are in action this evening in World Cup qualifying.
The Three Lions take on Serbia in Belgrade in their toughest game on paper.
The atmosphere is expected to be red hot, but Thomas Tuchel has hinted that Elliot Anderson will start after his impressive debut at the weekend.
Jordan Henderson is with the squad, and the German has suggested that his experience will come in handy.
He said: "Maybe if Elliot Anderson plays again to have Jordan in the dressing room and Jordan on the training pitch and around the team, nothing has changed.
“And he is in very good shape by the way, he had a very good training week. Of course he will have a voice in the team.
"Jordan has played here, Harry Kane has played here and they have talked already about it.”

Thomas Tuchel insists he is paying no attention to criticism on himself following England's 2-0 win over Andorra.
While the Three Lions have won each of their opening four World Cup qualifiers, Tuchel has come under fire over his style of play.
But speaking to talKSPORT ahead of Tuesday night's clash away at Serbia, former Chelsea boss Tuchel has declared dealing with negative reactions comes with the England job.
Asked whether he believes criticism aimed at himself and England is unfair and if it affects him, Tuchel said: "No, the criticism is the criticism and the job comes with scrutiny and we're in public.
"It just comes with it, I don't take it personally, but I don't pay any attention to it.
"If we win, if we have the best game or not such a good game, it just makes no sense because I'm in the middle of the process
"I have my own observations, I have my own feedback with my staff and the players.
"So why [listen to criticism]? I trained myself many years ago to not pay attention and I'm still on it."
Cherry picked
Olympiacos are closing in on the signing of Bournemouth striker Zain Silcott-Duberry, talkSPORT understands.
It will be a permanent move for the forward, who only joined Bournemouth from Chelsea in January this year.
The 20-year-old made one Premier League appearance last season and will undergo a medical on Tuesday.
He also featured off the bench in the FA Cup.
Olympiacos have been keen on bolstering their squad with the Greek transfer window to close on September 12.
The Super League side sit top of the table having won both of their opening games.
Deal me in
Wolves are in talks with striker Jorgen Strand Larsen over a new contract, talkSPORT understands.
Strand-Larsen was the subject of two rejected bids from Newcastle during the final days of the transfer window.
The Magpies saw £50m and £55m offer swiftly turned down by the Molineux outfit.
After being unable to tempt Wolves into selling, Newcastle eventually opted to sign Yoane Wissa from Brentford instead.
As it stands, Strand Larsen currently has four years left on his deal having signed for Wolves on a permanent basis in the summer window following his loan from Celta Vigo.
He has scored twice from three matches this term, with both of his goals coming against West Ham in a 2-1 comeback win in the Carabao Cup second round.
Tuchy subject
Troy Deeney has declared that Thomas Tuchel was ‘immature and stupid’ when omitting Ivan Toney from his list of striker options for England.
Appearing on Hawksbee and Jacobs, talkSPORT’s Deeney spoke on how former Brentford star Toney was not part of Tuchel’s thinking.
The 29-year-old scored 30 goals in 44 appearances during his debut season with Al Ahli and has five strikes in four matches this term, but could miss out on the World Cup squad.
Deeney was replying to comments made by Tuchel from his pre-match press conference ahead of Tuesday's clash with Serbia where he discussed his striker options, which includes Harry Kane, Ollie Watkins, Marcus Rashford - and even Jarrod Bowen, Phil Foden and Anthoyn Gordon.
The former Watford skipper said: "I think that’s a personality clash, isn’t it? I think the fact that he’s said that is immature and stupid anyway, in my opinion.
“Because, you’ve not mentioned one striker there, not an out-and-out striker, from Rashford to Rogers all the way through.
“So basically, what he’s letting you know there, is he’s probably going to go to the tournament with two [strikers], Harry and Ollie Watkins, potentially three with Delap at best.
“And if any problems happen, he’s just going to rotate any of those guys up front and then if we lose, guess what, the excuse is already built in, we didn’t have enough strikers.”
Marc the date
Liverpool have no plans to bid for Marc Guehi in January, talkSPORT understands.
A £35million offer for Guehi was almost agreed on deadline day, with the Crystal Palace captain even given permission to undergo a medical.
However, Igor's decision to join West Ham instead of Palace on loan from Brighton resulted in Guehi's own move to Anfield being called off.
The England international was left frustrated having told Liverpool he wanted to join, but centre-back Jaydee Canvot's arrival from Toulouse was not enough for Palace to sanction an exit.
Head coach Oliver Glasner made it clear to chairman Steve Parish he wanted two new defenders, and in the end the Palace chairman decided it was better for the season ahead to keep hold of Guehi, even knowing he can leave for nothing next summer.
talkSPORT understands Guehi has no plans to sign a new Palace contract and will thus leave Selhurst Park after the World Cup.
As it stands, he is also not inclined to move in January either given a mid-season transfer could disrupt his own World Cup preparations.
The 25-year-old will be able to pick from a series of clubs next summer with not just Liverpool still keen on adding him on a free transfer, but potential renewed interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham CEO issues post-Levy update
If it wasn't already clear, Tottenham are not for sale.
In the latest voice to join the chorus, Spurs CEO Vinai Venkatesham insisted the Lewis family, who are the majority shareholders in ENIC, remain 'very, very passionate' about the club and want to continue taking it to the next level.
But what was interesting in Venkatesham's in-house interview was who he name-dropped as the leading figures from the family as people we could see and hear more often from in the future.
“There has been a big focus on the club from the next generation of the family," Venkatesham said.
"First there is Viv Lewis, who is a very regular attendee at Tottenham Hotspur games. She was with us this summer for the whole of our pre-season tour.
“Going forward, you’ll also be seeing a lot more of her brother Charlie and son-in-law Nick."
Venkatesham added: “The Lewis family are really clear. They see their involvement in Tottenham as being long term and continuing through the generations.
"We made a statement, which I hope was unambiguously clear, that Tottenham Hotspur is not for sale.”
Here comes the money
Hear that? That's the sound of Manchester City about to cash in on a sweet new sponsorship deal after they reached a settlement with the Premier League over their Associated Party Transaction (APT) rules.
talkSPORT understands that the runway is clear for City to sign off on a lucrative deal with Etihad Airways.
Etihad's brand has adorned the front of City's kits since 2009 and are the naming rights sponsor of the team's stadium.
And it looks like the partnership will continue for many years to come. with details no doubt sure to emerge in the coming days as to what the value of the deal will be.
Settlement reached
Manchester City have confirmed a settlement between them and the Premier League has been agreed regarding the arbitration that was began by the club regarding the Premier League's Associated Party Transaction (APT) Rules.
Due to the agreement, both parties have agreed to end proceedings regarding the matter.
"This settlement brings an end to the dispute between the parties regarding the APT Rules," a City statement read.
"As part of the settlement, Manchester City accepts that the current APT Rules are valid and binding."
In February, City appeared to have landed a big win over the Premier League after a tribunal found their sponsorship rules to be null and void.
In fact, the tribunal deemed the APT regulations, which were in place from December 2021 to November 2024, were unlawful in their entirety.
City saw proposed deals with Etihad Airways and First Abu Dhabi Bank blocked in 2023, leading to a legal battle around what the club deemed to be unlawful APT rules.
But now, as per the statement, City have changed their tune and believe the rules were 'valid and binding.'
It's worth pointing out that this case is separate to the 115 charges for allegedly breaching the Premier League's financial rules.
