Canelo (62-2-2) overcame William Scull via unanimous decision in May to unify the Cuban's IBF belt with his WBA, WBC and WBO titles.

Crawford (41-0, 31 KO) is the reigning WBA super-welterweight title holder, but will move up two weight classes to be Canelo's next challenger.

It has been billed the 'fight of the century' by Turki Alalshikh, whose Riyadh Season will promote the event with Dana White and Sela in what is anticipated to be the most-viewed boxing fight of all time.

UFC president White will be making his first foray into boxing after joining forces with Alalshikh earlier this year.

Meanwhile, White has insisted he will still promote Alvarez v Crawford, despite Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh's claims to the contrary.

The UFC boss explained: “I’m going to tell you what’s awesome.

“There’s a lot of f***ed up things about boxing, but they don’t say s***. I mean, nobody talks, it’s the most amazing thing.

"If we sign a deal, I’ve got to f****ng get out my phone quick and say it because 90,000 people will be out there talking about it,

“These guys don’t talk. I’m promoting the fight. I’ll let you guys know when and where it's happening when it’s time to let you know.

“I know what’s going on, I know what we’re doing, I don’t really pay attention to that stuff.

"It doesn’t matter to me. I don’t even remember the last time I talked to Turki, but we’re good. We’re very good.”
