‘He’s unbelievable’ – John Cena pelted on social media as fans all notice same mistake in Logan Paul match

JOHN Cena delivered another masterclass as part of his long goodbye to WWE at Clash in Paris on Sunday night.
The veteran performer is in the midst of a year-long farewell to the wrestling industry having signalled his intent to retire at the end of 2025.
He has less than ten advertised appearances remaining as the action culminates in a career finale in December, but the hits have, thus far, kept coming.
Though his heel turn – changing from a perennial ‘good guy’ on screen to a dastardly villain – fell flat on its face and was quickly reverted, the star’s quality has otherwise been at an exceptional level.
The 48-year-old has tangled with R-Truth, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and CM Punk to name just a handful of top WWE figures from his all-star set list.
At Clash in Paris this past weekend he was in the ring with Logan Paul, the two delivering on an almighty scale as they wrestled for the better part of half an hour.

In one of the top matches of the night, the two traded a huge array of moves – Cena breaking out an impressive arsenal including a Styles Clash – as a raucous crowd enjoyed every second of the match-up.
The build-up to the match had been razor sharp; Cena electric on the mic as he eviscerated the relative upstart in promos ahead of Paris, while influencer turned wrestler Paul more than wowed when it came time for the bell to ring.
Wrestling in just his 24th match, the 30-year-old belied his relative experience and dazzled with his athleticism and ability to rile up the crowd at Cena’s expense.
The veteran had his hand raised come the end, but the showing did little to damage Paul, whose stock will only rise further having been in the ring with one of the all-time greats.

Social media gave the pair their due, Cena in particular, after an all-round entertaining affair – even if one thing in particular had plenty watching on Netflix something to chuckle about.
As the affair wore on, Cena became afflicted by one aspect of his game that’s been an ever-present through his career: his volume in calling spots inside the wrestling ring.
Calling spots generally refers to the communication between wrestlers in a match that pieces together the action fans see – phrases to trigger certain planned moves, or an on-the-fly message to move things in a different direction.
Mastering this crucial skill is an art form wrestlers master well – Cena, too: it’s hard to say otherwise given the unfathomable success of his career so far.
His ‘calling’ has always been a touch on the loud side, though, and, as fatigue set in on Sunday, the veteran could be heard shouting instructions to his opponent.
Rather than using it as a stick to beat Cena with, fans instead gently pelted him on social media for it, clearly more amused by it than anything else.
“The Paris crowd may actually be loud enough to drown out Cena calling out spots in the ring,” wrote one fan on X, praising the boisterous crowd while teasing Cena at the same time.
Another added: “Cena clearly spot calling will never not make me laugh,” while a third joked: “2025 and Cena is still calling every spot in his matches.”
One fan hilariously posted a picture of their seat – way up in the upper section of the 30,000-strong crowd in France, the ring looking tiny down below – with the caption: “I think I just heard Cena call a spot from up here.”
Another quipped: “Cena been wrestling for 50 years and still can't call spots discreetly.”
In truth, the spot calling has long been a Cena hallmark and didn’t appear to alter anyone’s enjoyment of an epic outing at Clash in Paris.
