Sponsors and Community Organizations Needed for the Let Girls Play Summer Jamboree

Why Sponsor the IOU Sports Let Girls Play Summer Jamboree? IOU Sports has partnered with Milwaukee Public Schools Recreation Department to give girls and their parents an opportunity participate in a Fitness, Health and Empowerment event to get girls active and learn of summer programs. Research indicates that lack of physical activity is directly related to increased pregnancy, delinquency, obesity, truancy and increased risk taking (use of drugs and alcohol) among school-aged girls

We invite you to participate in the First Annual Let Girls Play Summer Jamboree! This event will take place on Saturday June 11, 2016 from 9 am to 1 pm at Lynde and Harry Bradley Technology and Trade School located at 700 S 4th St, Milwaukee.  More than 500 girls and parents are expected to attend this event. This is an excellent opportunity for you to advertise your business, since the event is promoted to the community and all MPS parents through the MPS Recreation Guide. In addition, at 4pm, we will tip off to celebrate 20 years of the WNBA.  We will host the Legends vs the Milwaukee Aces Professional Women’s Basketball game.  A day of “Girl Power”.

There are a number of ways in which you can be involved including becoming a sponsor of the First Annual Let Girls Play Summer Jamboree! To participate as an organization vendor,  join us as a “Friend of the Let Girls Play ” level, costs $50; there will be some canopy tents set up for shade or you can set up inside. For additional exposure, you may choose one of our sponsorship levels. Giving levels are set at $500, $1000, and $2500, with details in the following pages. Included is the registration form, which can be e-mails or mailed with payment and any artwork needed to IOU Sports by Friday, May 13, 2016.

This spectacular event will feature free giveaways, and other activities, making it a highly attractive event for girls, parents and the community. Please note this will be an outdoor event so plan to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and other items needed to stay safe and healthy during the event. If you have other ways in which you would like to contribute, aside from those listed in these materials, please let us know. Please note that in-kind donations such as T-Shirts or Back Sacks will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Partnerships are limited to non-competing services of the event, so primary care clinics, group exercise programs and other services may be limited. Should you have further questions about in-kind donations, restricted services or need additional information about the 2016 Let Girls Play Summer Jamboree, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
