Round Rock TX -The Independent Women's Football League is proud to announce that Bryan Steilkie, representing the Madison Cougars, has been awarded a full delegate membership license. The Cougars will join the league’s growing roster of teams in the Midwest Division for the 2011 season and will play an exciting schedule against teams like the Wisconsin Warriors, Iowa Crush, Minnesota Vixen and Wisconsin Wolves.
The Madison Cougars are a new team organized to provide women in Madison Wisconsin the opportunity to play tackle football at the national level. The team is owned by local Madison businessmen Andre Green and Kenny Gales. Mr. Gales, a member of the 1994 Rose Bowl Champion UW Badgers, brings his extensive knowledge of the game and elite level training to the Cougars. With their combined experience and reputation for success they plan to build a championship level program that Madison can be proud of.
“This new team is off to a strong start. Andre and Kenny are passionate about football and have the experience to build a great team!” said IWFL Chief Operating Officer Kezia Disney.
“We will create an atmosphere of integrity, pride and sportsmanship to allow for success on and off the field. Participants are treated with respect through the opportunity to experience growth in the areas of interacting with others, teamwork, sportsmanship, fair play and skill development,” said Kenny Gales, Madison Cougars Team Owner.
“The goal is to create a positive environment that fosters improved self-confidence and self-esteem through experiences in sports activities”, stated Andre Green, Madison Cougars Team Owner.

The Cougars will hold player camps and tryouts later this fall. Any Madison area women interested in playing football in the IWFL are encouraged to contact the team for more information.
