Imani Boyette Inspires Girls at her Milwaukee Basketball Skills Clinic

IOU Sports 2016 Imani Boyette Basketball Skills Clinic

IOU Sports hosted the Imani Boyette Basketball Skills Clinic along with the Milwaukee Aces at Cardinal Stritch University for girls’ ages 8-17 years old.

The 6’7 rookie center for the Chicago Sky, Imani Boyette, is no stranger to basketball; in fact, she’s been around it her whole life. The daughter of WNBA Hall of Famer, Pamela McGee and the sister of JaVale McGee, of the Golden State Warriors; Boyette said “It’s literally no place I go where someone doesn’t say ‘yeah, I know your mom’ or I played with your mom”, however, she’s well on her way to making her own name in professional sports.

Imani had a stellar rookie season with the Chicago Sky averaging 8 PPG, 8 RPG and 2 BPG and played an enormous role in extending the Sky’s playoff run with the memorable OT rejection against the Minnesota Lynx.

“Your skills and being good at one thing will get you further in the game.  If you’re good at rebounding - develop it, if you’re good at defense – work hard at it.”

Thank you Imani…
